He began his career as a Financial Analyst before discovering his calling in employee benefits and insurance, an industry where he has since built broad, multi-faceted expertise. Over the years, Shahmir has worked across several verticals of the benefits world, including digital benefits platforms, group benefits, and self-funded captive program management, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both the strategic and operational sides of the business. His true passion lies in cost containment, where he applies a creative, data-driven approach to help employers take control of their healthcare spend without compromising the quality of care their employees receive. After spending more than a decade in the Greater Boston area, Shahmir recently relocated to Boca Raton, Florida. Outside of work, he enjoys playing pickleball, following soccer, and indulging his lifelong passion for cars.
